The Polish National Energy Conservation Agency (KAPE)

The Polish National Energy Conservation Agency (KAPE) was established, following the Parliament resolution in 1994, with the aim to serve as a national sustainable energy agency.KAPE is the joint stock company. The shareholders are the governmental institutions: the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, the Industrial Development Agency, the National Economy Bank. The mission of the Polish National Energy Conservation Agency (KAPE) is to develop and implement sustainable energy policies in Poland and playing a leading role in providing a wide range of sustainable energy services to keep a leading national role to participate in preparation and implementation of principles of Polish sustainable energy policy. KAPE carries out activities aimed at improving rational use of energy (RUE), promotion of renewable energy sources (RES) and energy related environmental issues.
